Week 10 - One Day

One day two Japanese men came up to a Spanish man, sitting on a crusty white bench. "I found you," one of the men said breathlessly.

"Why do you want me?" said the Spanish man.
"You are Sir Abel Aguero, right?"
"Yes. Why?"
"The Duke and Duchess want to see you, because you are quite rich". Reluctantly, Sir Abel got up and walked towards the edge of town to see them. But the Japanese men had a secret. Sir Abel could see the booming tower in the distance. Suddenly, one of the Japanese men pulled him towards a gap in a bush.
"What on earth did you do that for"?
" Ssssshhh", commanded one of the Japanese men.
"The Duke and Duchess never wanted you. We want your money", explained the other. Crash, boom.

The poor tower fell down, and in the smoke the Japanese men disappeared. Abel checked his pocket, no money. What had just happened?

  1. Hello Maisie,

All good writers know the importance of a well-presented story and you have achieved this in your 157-word entry into the 100 Word Challenge. Well done, although try to be a little closer to the word limit.

On reading your adventure, I could see your imagination at work as the characters in the photo came to life. Not simply three people talking, your story became one of deception and theft as the two Japanese men convinced Sir Abel to go with them only to steal his money. It’s a good warning not to go with strangers for, being unknown to us, we can never be sure of their intentions. Again, well done.

I hope you can continue entering the 100WC. It provides you with a chance to share your creative ideas with the world.
