Silently, we floated down the mountain stream in our bright, red canoe. It was a glorious day! The fiery eye of the sun shone down from the pale, turquoise sky and the bubbling stream chuckled happily.
Crash! Suddenly our canoe struck a hard rock and reared, like a horse, out of the waves. Struggling to stay on, I watched helplessly as all our possessions slid into the water including our umbrella.
"Help I called feebly, until the canoe ricocheted off another rock, throwing me in. The last thing I saw before I hit the water was a whirlwind of white foam coming from the rapids...
