Finally, it was Friday and I could go home and see what my dad was making. He is an inventor and always makes me something on a Friday. This time it was a bright, blue time machine.
During our first test run I mistakenly pressed the wrong button and heard a voice saying, “Self-destruct! We will take you to the closest year.” The year 2000 was mind boggling. I saw a fire out of the corner of my eye and as I raced towards it, I saw Human Birds putting out fires and wondered if they had been genetically modified.
