Week 4- Unforgettable murder

It was a dark, foggy day. The merciless rain lashed against the cold windowpane and Detective Vidocq was sitting in his comfy armchair. He had been doing this for about three hours now, sitting there and reading, but later that day he heard a scream of pain. “Maybe it’s the cooker”. Slowly, he walked over to the cooker. There was no noise, nothing at all! There it was again the ear-splitting howl. Vidocq thought carefully. He rushed out into the streets, just to miss a black figure dart away. This would be an unforgettable murder on York lane…

  1. Hanna you have written a fine mystery and I want to read more! I like how you end with such suspense and nice use of an ellipsis to bring that about. And very nice writing, with such descriptive and poetic phrases that make your story so enjoyable to read - really great work!

  2. Hi Hanna,
Thank you for taking the time to do this week's 100 Word Challenge. I enjoyed reading your work. You've used some very descriptive language that helped me to create a picture in my head. You built up the tension well and as the reader I really wanted to know who or what was making that sound? I wonder who was murdered?
I look forward to reading more of your adventures.
    Keep up the great work!
